Comments: The Hershey Company is a manufacturer of chocolate and confectionery products and owns a snack food company. The Company's principal product groups include confectionery and snack products, gum and mint refreshment products, and food and beverage enhancers, such as baking ingredients, peanut butter, toppings and beverages. The Company manufactures, markets, sells and distributes various package types of chocolate candy, sugar confectionery, refreshment and snack products, and food and beverage enhancers under more than 50 brand names. The Company's five operating segments comprise geographic regions, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and other international locations, such as Japan, Korea, the Philippines and China. In October 2006, Artisan Confections Company, the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, purchased the assets of Dagoba Organic Chocolates, LLC. Dagoba is known for its organic chocolate bars, drinking chocolates and baking products.
